Here is a good study of how social media affects to education. Here in Enfuse youth we think that depends on what is used for. We understand that is an update of how people get connected today and we think that if they start using them since they are young, this will be reflected in their ability to use it for a professional goal.

Moreover, it also has lots of potential into their university learning stage. So here it comes a doubt to our head, do you think every university educator is prepared for it? Are the alumni more prepared for this social engaging live? Are we living in a transition phase and we have to wait till this gets more stabilized?

What is the Zoom Young Filmmaker Award?

The Zoom Young Filmmaker Awards are designed to show the very best films made by Welsh
children and young people as part of Wales’ International Young Peoples Film Festival.

Will each film submitted be shown?

Not all films submitted will be shown during the Film Festival. We will choose films by screening
them for a panel consisting of Industry filmmakers and organisations. A panel of children and
young people from the Zoom Film Council, who help us plan the Film Festival, will also be
involved in the selection process.

What are we looking for?

There are no strict rules about what your film should be like. What we’re looking for is originality
and creativity. All we’re asking for is that the majority of your film’s crew, including the Director,
and those who appear on screen are aged between 8 and 19. The best films will have an
interesting story or subject matter, filmed and cut to the best possible standard within their time
and budget constraints. So if you have a good story you want to tell everyone and think you could
tell it in an original way, send it to us and you may well be seeing your work on the big screen.

CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION

1. Produced by children/ young people
By this we mean that the majority of the people involved in the production of the film must
be aged 19 or under when the film was made. The director of the film must be aged 19 or
under and have received no formal education in filmmaking above further education level. Any

3. No longer than 10 minutes

4. Made in Wales after January 2010

There will be 10 Awards, decided on by a panel of industry professionals and members of the
Zoom Film Council.

Not problems to be solved, young people use their passion to solve problems

This programme inspires and empowers young people from across the UK and Ireland to make a difference in their communities by applying to Starbucks Youth Action for seed funding and volunteer hours from Starbucks partners.  As well as supporting the young people to bring to life the projects that mean the most to them, we also offer training to young people on managing a budget, working with volunteers and project management. At the end of the first year we are supporting over 50 youth-led projects in 10 cities in the UK and Ireland.  Whether it is introducing bee-hives to an inner-city park in Manchester, tackling cyber-bullying in Cardiff or supporting cheer-leaders in Kensington we are committed to supporting young people to make their communities better places to be.

Applications are now open for Starbucks Youth Action 2012.

What you need to do: Check that you meet the eligibility criteria, are you 16-24 years old, and will your project operate within:
